Welcome to the Net Curtains Variety Show web page

Net Curtains was devised and introduced by Mal Scott and John Oliphant to help combat loneliness and isolation in adults in Hull and the surrounding area, by providing regular free variety shows in locations that provide comfortable and accessible surroundings.

Now well into our second year as a charitable community enterprise, we are now casting the Net Curtains Variety Show further afield, after a very welcome injection of funding from Councillor Stephen Brady, Hull City Council leader.

We bring the BEST of regional stage talent to performances near you - Music, Film, Comedy, Theatre, Chat, Spoken Word etc. etc..

Here are a few of our regular artists: Elvis G, Casey Adam and Les Nicol.

Bring a companion who you think will enjoy some cracking alternative entertainment, bring a group of friends or just bring yourself for a break and a personal welcome - it's entirely up to you. Food and drink are available at all of our venues.

Following on from a meeting with local councillors in the Guildhall and a generous offer of help from Steve Brady, Net Curtains is pleased to announce that we are now able to continue our good work, adding new venues for our shows each week.

We aim to visit our usual venues of Cecil Gardens, Harrison Park, Redwood Glades, Endike Community Centre, Bean & Nothingness in Whitefriargate and Plug In each month. Please see below for addresses, times and dates.

All enquiries: please email info@netcurtains.org.uk

Good to see appreciative audiences at Plug-in, Harrison Park, Bean and Nothingness and at our final performance at Kardomah 94.

Many thanks to the artists for their fine perfomances and to the venues for their hospitality.
